
Pregnancy is an endurance event. Not just labor — the whole thing. The shifting center of gravity, the disrupted sleep, the physical demands of a body doing something it has never done before. Prenatal yoga at Breathing Space is designed for exactly that: building the strength, focus, and flexibility that make pregnancy more comfortable and labor more manageable.
Each class moves through modified yoga postures, breathwork, vocal toning, and guided relaxation — all adapted for where you are right now, whether you're newly pregnant or counting down the weeks. You'll build core strength and stability, practice breathing techniques that carry directly into labor, and learn to move in ways that ease the specific discomforts of a changing body.
The mental side gets the same attention as the physical. Meditation, visualization, and relaxation techniques are woven throughout — not as add-ons, but as preparation for the focus and resilience labor actually requires.
This is an all-levels class. No previous yoga experience necessary. What you'll find here is a room full of people at every stage of pregnancy, led by an instructor who knows this territory deeply, in a studio where you don't have to explain yourself or perform wellness. You just show up and do the work.
All trimesters welcome. Many students start in the second trimester. Research suggests the benefits of consistent prenatal yoga are greatest for those who begin at 12 weeks or earlier — something worth knowing if you're deciding when to start.
