In the first weeks of a baby's life, everything is new — every sound, every face, every sensation. Baby Yoga & Play is built around that reality: a class where your baby is not along for the ride while you exercise, but genuinely at the center of everything that happens.
Each class moves through dozens of yoga-inspired movements, postures, songs, rhymes, and activities — all designed for where your baby actually is right now. On their back, on their tummy, cradled in your arms. You'll learn ways to support their developing body, calm the inevitable cranky moments, and build the kind of closeness that helps both of you settle. Many families find that babies who attend regularly sleep better — not a guarantee, but a pattern we see often enough to mention.
While you'll get some stretching and breathing in for yourself along the way, the focus in Baby Yoga & Play is on the baby-caregiver activities and connection.
Looking for a class where your own movement practice is the focus? Our postnatal yoga class is designed for exactly that — baby is welcome, but the adult practice leads.
This is also, quietly, one of the better things you can do for yourself at six weeks postpartum. You'll be in a room full of people who are in the exact same stage — same questions, same sleep deprivation, same mix of overwhelm and wonder. The teacher knows this age deeply. The class is designed for how babies actually behave, which is unpredictably, and sometimes loudly.
Classes are appropriate from around six weeks until baby is mobile. No previous yoga experience necessary. Come dressed for movement.
Who belongs here: Babies from approximately six weeks through pre-crawling, with their caregiver. Moms, dads, grandparents, nannies, and any other loving adult in your baby's life are welcome.
Registration is per baby. One adult bringing two babies is charged for one — you can only work with one baby at a time, and we price accordingly. Two adults bringing two babies pay full price for one and the sibling discount (50% off) for the second. Nannies bringing two babies from different families are welcome — please see our nanny share registration policy registration policy for details.
A parent or guardian should be the registering account holder. If a different adult will be regularly attending with your baby, please add them to the account and note this in the comments at checkout.
