Yoga is a fun way for students to build fitness and learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress, and connecting to their bodies in a loving way. Kids Yoga Yoga Trapeze incorporates traditional yoga asana, breathwork, and relaxation but is based around our YogaBody-style yoga trapeze rigs. Classes often revolve around a philosophical or natural theme and sometimes will include books or other creative activities and always include some form of quiet relaxation. For Jan-Mar 2024: Students at Watkins Elementary School can opt for walking pickup by our staff. Students from other schools may be dropped off directly at the studio. Additional pickup schools may be arranged; min. 3 students per campus.
Full afternoon schedule:
- 3:15-4:15 pm - walking pickup & Mindful Art Making art can help children enhance creativity, cultivate visual-spatial awareness, support critical thinking, build gross and fine motor skills, and it’s fun! Combining mindfulness and art can help children find a sense of calm and provide another skill for self-regulation. Parents should send a nut-free afternoon snack.
