Yoga is a fun way for children and teens to learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress, and connecting to their bodies in a loving way while building fitness and having fun. Breathing Space classes are full of age-appropriate yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques that support gross motor development, fitness, balance, body awareness, language acquisition, and creative expression.
Classes for older children incorporate creative movement, stories, and fun props to make traditional yoga poses fun and accessible to kids and their favorite grownups. We encourage each child to embrace their own unique expression of yoga poses while supporting their development and growth. Parents and children playfully move together through poses and activities appropriate for the age group.
