photo Alisha (AJ) Hiskey

AJ Hiskey (RYT-200) teaches a variety of classes from tots to trapeze. Always a kid at heart, she connects easily with children and loves sharing her passions of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Born and raised in the DC area, AJ completed her Yoga-Alliance certified training in 2018 with plans to teach adults, but fell in love with teaching children young and old!

When she’s not on the mat, AJ loves being outdoors. She enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, or reading a good book in the sunshine. If she’s indoors, she’s probably rooting for a DC sports team (whether they’re winning or losing!) A life-long cheerleader for not only her favorite teams but also her friends, family, and students, she loves supporting others and helping them to be their best in body, mind, and spirit.

photo Camille Cobbs

Camille Cobbs began her yoga journey in San Francisco in 2013. She stumbled into a Level 3 Baptiste Power Flow class not knowing exactly what she’d signed up for, but the sweat, challenge, and positive affirmations inspired her to return week after week. In 2020, yoga became a refuge during one of the most difficult years of our generation. Her practice became a daily requirement, helping her to prioritize mental health, self-care, and healthy movement.

In 2021, she was inspired to complete her yoga teacher training and gained certification in early 2022. Since the completion of her 200 hours, Camille has returned to her power flow roots as an instructor, teaching adult classes around the DC area. She has also been able to reconnect with her passion for early childhood education by teaching a wide range of yoga classes for kids, from Pre-K to middle school. All of Camille’s classes are upbeat, full of music, and focused on self-love and self-study.

I was born and raised in Russia. I got my BA in professional acting from St.Petersburg, Russia Academy of Theater Arts. Before I moved to USA in 1993, I worked as a professional actress. I have been teaching creative activities for children since 1997 in the area of Drama, Creative Movement, Dance, and Yoga. In June of 2020 I received 200-hour Yoga teacher certificate. Since then, I have been teaching yoga not only to children but also to seniors. I was always fascinated with self-expressing through movement. I also was always fascinated with Nature and its healing power.

I love teaching yoga!! I love nature and ocean, reading books and watching movies, cooking, traveling, exploring different languages and cultures. I love my children: my daughter is 18 and my son is 28! In spite of everything, life is beautiful!!

photo Dira Hansen

Dira Hansen is a passionate running coach and longtime runner who turned to yoga for the physical elements, but fell in love with the philosophical teachings and spiritual growth. Following a 30-Day yoga challenge in 2016, Dira began to grow her practice exploring various types of yoga and finding an Iyengar class and teacher to study under. Though life brought distance between her times on the mat, Dira’s passion for learning the philosophical teachings of yoga and sharing the empowerment she felt on the mat with others remained.

As she sought for her way to make an impact in the birthwork space, yoga became her answer. Dira enrolled in 200hr yoga teacher training at Yoga District in DC and followed it up with an 85hr prenatal teacher training with Trinatal Yoga School. Wishing to balance her athleticism with her nurturing and introspective nature, Dira’s classes explore the pairing of effort with ease. Her slow flows focus on reconnecting with one’s softer nature and learning to feel at home in one’s body, by increasing self-awareness through breathwork, meditation, and movement.
